1. When did you start watching?
Definitely by the age of three; don't know about before that.
1a. Why?
Probably because my Dad did, so it made for father / daughter bonding. Butsnapesbabe's answer is also very pertinent:
I clearly watched Nightmare of Eden, 'cos I was scared of the Mandrells for years afterwards. But the first one I actually remember is The Keeper of Traken.
3. Which episodes have you seen?
This is hard to answer, because there is a hell of a lot of Who which I know I've seen but can't really remember now, either because I was a child at the time or because it was ten years or more ago and I didn't make any particular effort to commit it to the memory banks. I am currently seeking to remedy this situation by just watching as much as humanly possible and writing about it on my LJ. But for the moment, the best I can say is: a fair chunk of (surviving) One, very little of Two, some of Three, quite a lot of Four, most of Five (as a child, though), most of Six (child again), quite a lot of Seven, and all of Eight, Nine and Ten.
3a. Favourite?
Oh, lordy! Um... I think part of the point here is that it's chuffin' hard to choose, because there are so many that are so incredibly awesome. That's why it's such a good show. Fairly arbitrarily, therefore, I'm going to say Utopia (New Who 3.11), purely for the chills that went through me when we realised who Professor Yana really was.
4. Are your friends/family interested in the show?
Quite a lot of them, yes.
5. Which Doctor is your favourite?
FOUR!!! Bow before the genius that is FOUR! Ten is also good.
6. Which Doctor is your least favourite?
I'm trying to like Three, but it's a tough battle so far.
7. Which TV companion is your favourite?
Right now, easily Sarah Jane.
8. Which TV companion is your least favourite?
There are a lot I don't really know well enough to judge either way. Mel is famously annoying, but I don't remember enough about her to know whether she annoys me. So the best I can say right now is Jo Grant, even though I really liked her when I was fifteen, and hope I may come to do so again.
9. Do you listen to the Big Finish audios?
I've listened to a couple, yes.
9a. If so, which is your favourite?
The Fires of Vulcan. But I'm not choosing from a very wide field!
9b. Also: which Big Finish companion is your favourite?
I haven't listened to any Big Finish audios featuring companions who didn't also appear on TV first.

11. Have you read any of the novels or short stories?
Yes - I read a couple of novels some time in my teens or early twenties, but am not sure which. Possibly something about some Cybermen doing something with slaves in a quarry. Also something called State of Change with the Sixth Doctor and Peri in an alternate Rome, which was lent to me by a fellow Classicist and Who fan. And Paul Cornell's Christmas story from the Telegraph.

No.

Well, State of Change - but again I'm choosing from a very small field.

Only occasional isolated pages.

Yes, obviously - as many as possible, including Children in Need specials, Infinite Quest, etc.

Yes, Nightmare of Eden - which is lucky, 'cos I've got it sitting here on a DVD. Just need to find time to watch it.

Yes - my favourite is a little mini-K-9 who sits on my desk at work, and was bought for me by my sister's boyfriend.
7. Are you a fan of Russell T Davies?
Yes. I know he does things that are annoying, and his no. 1 crime from my point of view is writing himself into corners and then having to use completely improbable deus ex machina devices to get himself out of them. But, fundamentally, he's put a lot of really good, up-to-date elements into the modern show, and made it into a massive success. I'd rather that than no Who at all.
7a. Steven Moffat?
Oh dear gods, yes.
7b. Paul Cornell?
Not bad at all.
8. What say you to Season 6b?
I just love that the Who phenomenon is complex and flexible enough to allow for things like that.
9. The UNIT dating controversy?
It's not a controversy, it's just some inconsistent writing, much as has also happened with the dating of New Who. Don't worry about it.
10. The Blinovitch Limitation effect?
Is a useful plot device, and interesting to mull over.
11. Multi-Doctor episodes?
They're a brilliant idea in principle, but I can't help but notice often not so much so in practice. Time Crash was ace, though.
12. What's your favourite Doctor Who technobabble?
Anything that involves 'hooking' something fictitious up to something completely implausible.
13. Have you watched other TV shows exclusively because of the presence of Doctor Who actors?
Yes, I watched a couple of episodes of Monarch of the Glen because they had Tom Baker in them, and was rendered more likely than was already the case to watch the Vic Reeves / Bob Mortimer version of Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased) for the same reason.
14. Have you met any of the actors?
Yes, Colin Baker, whose autograph now rests safely in my scrap book.
14a. Travelled to any filming locations?

15. What do you think of The Curse of Fatal Death?
Cool, although my tolerance for Rowan Atkinson has declined as I've got older.

I don't think Ten 'treated Martha badly' at all. It's not his fault if he didn't fancy her.

I love it because it's like saying that the Fourth Doctor (or whichever) is the single most important association ever with the number four. All anyone needs to say is 'Four', and the reference to that Doctor is instantly understood - no-one is thinking of (e.g.) Channel Four, Radio 4, the Four Seasons, the Birmingham Four or anything else trivial or ephemeral of that nature!
I can't tell you how happy I was when I realised I'd referred to all ten of them in my meme answers, so that I could quite reasonably sit there and type 'one, two, three, four, etc.' into the tags field. :-)
